A world traveller and mother of two girls, Amy Smith brings a unique creative vision to her photography. She started in the darkroom 10 years ago. Now she is 100% digital, and still works to capture the beauty of each client using natural light and non-studio settings. She strives to represent simple creativity and the loveliness of the everyday.
A graduate of Wesleyan University with a Master of Arts from Stanford, Amy has lived and worked in Moscow, Paris, and Seattle. Recently ending 6 years with Microsoft, where she applied linguistic and artistic talents creating children's educational software and games, she now devotes herself to the pursuit of her foremost loves: family, photography, and travel. (All three together whenever possible.)
Amy Smith's work has been presented in group shows, and is available for display and sale to galleries, cafes, restaurants, spas, or any individual or business that wishes to evoke something beyond the wall. She is also happy to provide commissioned work and has a talent for creating portraits of children that capture the wonder of childhood. If you happen (like we do) to have a zillion digital photos and want to present them in a spirited form, ask about creating a mosaic using your untapped pictures!
Amy lives with her husband and children in Seattle's beautiful Queen Anne neighborhood.
